Welcome: Apricot, Plum, and Leaf!

September 23rd, 2025 | by Bivo Employees

We are excited to be bringing our new Fall/Winter '25 colors to you one day after the Autumn Equinox! The leaves haven't quite hit their peak here yet, but the colors are just beginning to pop and we are all gearing up to see all of the reds, oranges, yellows, and purples splattered across the mountain tops.

This year's fall color lineup is an homage to the colors of a Vermont fall, with Plum, a deep purple that can be found on a Dogwood tree, Apricot, a vibrant orange like a Sugar Maple, and Leaf, a dark green matching the color of the leaves that are yet to change.

We have all been deep in the fall mindset, and over a happy hour last week we got talking about our favorite fall activities and snacks. It all sounded so good, we had to share with everyone.

On top of the new colors, we are also dropping the Ventura Lid, a secure screw on lid with a removable silicone strap. Fully leak proof, insulated, and stylish, it's the perfect addition to any insulated Bivo and takes it from being a sport bottle to one that can be used 100% of the time.

More versatility = fueling more fun!

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: A hike up to the top of Bolton Valley gives you the best views as the leaves start to turn.

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: Streuselkuchen (Aka “crumb cake”) with plums! Growing up, my best friend’s mom made this recipe at the end of every summer, using plums as the fruit. It was always my favorite and I begged her to make it every time I went to my friend’s house. Thank you, Kim Ludwig!

My most fun adventure recently: I took my friends to Waitsfield, VT to try the Waitsfield Roamer mountain bike ride our retailer, Riders Outpost, recommends. The 16 mile loop took us all day and we finished at American Flatbread for the best pizza and beer ever!

My fall playlist: I have Sylvan Esso's 2014 album "Sylvan Esso" on repeat!

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: Not a trail this time, but a ride. Our Roamer-recommended gravel loop is about as good as it gets for foliage. The whole route is beautiful, but once you climb up Nashville and roll into Notch Road, it’s pure magic. It feels like the colors wrap around you.

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: I have a bit of an obsession with Yotam Ottolenghi and have been eyeing one of his plum desserts lately. I’m not much of a baker myself, but if anyone in the area feels like testing it out, I’ll happily volunteer as the taste tester! The bay leaves are very intriguing….

My most fun adventure recently: Nothing epic, but it’s been such a treat to sneak in runs most mornings after school drop-off. Before kids, Robby and I ran together 4–5 times a week, and we’ve really missed that. Now, being able to carve out even one run together each week feels extra special.

My fall playlist: A song I’ve been loving lately: The Dawn by Irma. I first heard it through Lea Davison’s film It Will Be Different For You, which Bivo will be screening at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Lake Placid on October 4th and again here in Richmond on October 7th. In the area? Please come, it will move you.

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: Mad Tom Notch in Peru, VT. It's a great hike on the Long Trail and the summit has a beautiful view of my home town Landgrove. In the fall, getting to see my home bursting with so much color is really cool.

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: As it gets a little chillier, there's nothing I like more than a hot cup of spiced cider. One time I had a warm spiced plum cider that was so delicious, and I hope I get to drink it again this winter.

My most fun adventure recently: I just hiked Camel's Hump for the first time recently, it's such a classic Vermont hike I'm surprised it took me so long to get up there. The views were amazing, and I was wishing that I brought binoculars to try and see the Bivo HQ from afar.

My fall playlist: I've been listening to The Summer I Turned Pretty soundtrack a bunch recently - I've got to keep my excitement going until the movie comes out!

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: A steep climb up Mad River Glen to the Starks Nest to see sunrise hitting the foliage!

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: I don’t have one! But, a peach cobbler sounds reallyyy good.

My most fun adventure recently: I grew up in the White Mountains and have not been able to make it back there much throughout this summer and fall; but I did have a few days there last week and was able to get one of my favorite hikes in, Lonesome Lake! This time I was trail running, which I typically have not done in the past. The steep climb makes for more hiking than running on the way up, but it was fun to run the loop around the lake (while trying not to fall off of the wooden plank path) and then back down. I always love stopping into the hut there, too, and it was a great spot to refill my Bivo! Although Vermont is home to me now, the White Mountains will always feel like my home mountains.

My fall playlist: I’ve been on a Peach Pit / Backseat Lovers mix right now, but it is about to be dethroned when Life of a Showgirl comes out 👀❤️‍🔥

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: The Burrows Trail on Camel’s Hump from the Huntington side, my home town!

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: Raspberry or Peach Crisp.

My most fun adventure recently: Recently, I ran up and around Mount Mansfield with a friend and had a blast. I love being able to run up mountains so close to home! We ran up the Maple Ridge Trail to the forehead, ran across the top of the ridge to the chin, and went back down Sunset Ridge Trail. We saw stunning views the entire time and passed lots of tourists out hiking and enjoying the beautiful fall weather we’ve been having in Vermont.

My fall playlist: Any song by The Strokes is playing on repeat right now.

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: Give me a gravel ride through the Waitsfield/Warren area any day. You’re tucked under a canopy of trees one minute, then you bounce out into a meadow or farmland and—bam—mountains lit up with color. Never gets old.

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: Umm… baking isn’t happening in our household right now. Hand me a fresh apricot and I’m happy.

My most fun adventure recently: Hiking Camel’s Hump with Svea and Nolan. Svea loves hiking and watching her scramble up the mountain and light up with pure joy at the summit is the best. Nolan’s along for the ride (literally on Carina’s back), but he’ll catch the bug soon enough.

My fall playlist: Jeff Tweedy. I’ve had a long love affair with Wilco since childhood, and it’s been making a comeback for me lately.

Favorite trail for fall leaf peeping: Monroe Trail up Camel’s Hump from Duxbury for a mellow climb that starts in the deep canopy and culminates in an epic alpine summit.

Favorite stone fruit dessert recipe: Peach crisp.

My most fun adventure recently: I recently backpacked the Pemi Loop in New Hampshire with a friend. It was so special to be up there with two days of beautiful early fall weather and seeing the leaves start to turn at higher elevations.

My fall playlist: I’ve been revisiting old favorites from Cake and My Morning Jacket recently.
